We take your privacy seriously, because we know what it takes to reach out. Here is what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

Who we are

This website is run by Walking Free Recovery Ministries, a nonprofit Christian recovery ministry based at 261 County Road 250, Georgetown, TX 78633. When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it means Walking Free Recovery Ministries.

Our commitment to confidentiality

Recovery takes courage, and we know how much trust it takes to reach out. We treat everything you share with us as confidential. We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this website.

Information you choose to give us

You can browse this entire website, read every article, and download every resource without telling us who you are. We only receive personal information when you choose to send it, for example when you:

  • Sign up for a group (Walking Free Men's Recovery, UNDIVIDED, or Restoring Purpose). Sign-up forms are hosted by Jotform and may ask for your name, email address, phone number, and a little about your situation.
  • Book a call with our team. Booking is handled by Google Calendar and asks for your name and email address.
  • Email us at admin@wfrecovery.org.
  • Give a donation. Donations are processed by Tithe.ly. We receive your name, contact details, and gift amount, but never your full card or bank details.

How we use your information

We use the information you send us only to:

  • Reply to you and answer your questions
  • Connect you with the right group, leader, or sponsor and send you meeting details
  • Schedule calls you request
  • Send donation receipts and keep the financial records the law requires

In our groups, we encourage you to use only your first name and last initial.

Who we share it with

Your information is seen only by the ministry leaders and volunteers who need it to help you, such as the leader of the group you joined. We do not share it with anyone else unless:

  • You ask us to
  • The law requires it, or we believe someone's life or safety is in immediate danger

Services we rely on

These trusted providers help us run the website. Each has its own privacy policy that governs the information it handles:

  • Cloudflare hosts this website. Like all web hosts, it briefly records basic technical details (such as your IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and working.
  • Jotform hosts our group sign-up forms.
  • Google provides our booking calendar and the fonts used on this site.
  • Tithe.ly processes donations.
  • YouTube hosts videos we link to.
  • Amazon sells books we recommend. We are not paid for those links.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it to serve you, and longer only where the law requires it (for example, donation records). You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Just email admin@wfrecovery.org and we will respond promptly.

Keeping your information safe

This site uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, and we limit access to your information to the people who need it. No method of sending or storing information online is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

Children

This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will post the new version on this page and change the "last updated" date above.
